Lloyd Naff Edwards, 84, of Hillsborough died Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Mr. Edwards, a native of Southampton County Virginia, was the son of the late Claude and Eunice Grizzard Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Edwards.

Mr. Edwards was a retired farmer.

He is survived by two sisters, Lois Gaskins of Dolphine, Va., Shirley Powell and her husband, Tom, of Emporia, Va.; and three brothers, Wallace Edwards and his wife, Mary, of Roanoke Rapids, James Edwards of Emporia, Va. and Gilbert Edwards of Richmond, Va.

Memorial graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Michael Jones officiating.
